Places to visit in Aladağ

Aladağ is a district of Adana that stands out with its nature. Recently, it has become a region that is frequently visited by tourists on a daily basis, especially thanks to the places where the trends in tourism and social media are applied successfully.

The most used road to go from Adana to Aladağ reaches the district with the direction of the signboards before reaching İmamoğlu on the Kozan Road. You can start your tour with the Köprübaşı cafe on the old bridge after crossing the bridge over the Seyhan River on this road, and then you can see Simit Waterfall and Aladağ Martyrdom. Before reaching Aladağ, you can turn left and go to Meydan Plateau and Başkan’s Pavilion, respectively.

Another alternative to go from Adana to Aladağ is to reach the district via Meydan Plateau by turning right before reaching Karaisalı District and following Beydemir, Hacılı, Eğlence and Madenli villages, respectively. Although the roads on this route are more curvy and bumpy, the view of Çatalan Dam offers a more enjoyable journey.

1)Başkan’s  Pavilion:  It is a wooden house built by Aladağ Municipality on a hill overlooking a high cliff. Along the cliff landscape, you follow the Taurus peaks, villages, farmlands, roads and everything as if you were looking from an airplane. The feeling of eternity gives happiness and peace here too. It is frequently preferred for photo sharing on social media. Along the way, pine species such as tar and spruce accompany the visitors. Navigation apps mislead the way here. Here can be reached by heading towards the Meydan plateau from Aladağ and after passing this place, by directing the sign on the right before reaching the village of Madenli. Products such as tea, coffee and local sıkma and pastry are also sold .

2) Aladağ Köprübaşı: The two most important branches of the Seyhan River, Zamantı and Göksu, merge within the borders of Aladağ district and flow towards Çatalan Dam. For a long time, the Aladağ road used to pass over this bridge over the İmamoğlu District. With the construction of the new bridge, a cafe was built on the old Eğner bridge. The cafe appeals to our eyes with its design, decoration and concept, and to our stomach with its successful products. It stands out especially with its breakfast, where local foods are also served, and with roasted meat at other meals. When a huge river flows under you, the meal becomes more enjoyable.

3) Küp Waterfalls: One of the natural wonders that must be seen in Adana's Aladağ district is the Küp Waterfalls. With its waterfalls formed by more than one water source, ground bridge formations, caves and vegetation on the Zamantı River valley, it is a collection of natural wonders that are hardly seen in the world. We recommend those who want to see the Küp Waterfalls to spend all their days here. Küp Waterfalls is a natural wonder that you will definitely enjoy when you go for picnic, swimming and camping.

4) Simit Waterfall: On the way from Adana to Aladağ, after passing the Seyhan River and the Köprübaşı, it remains on the right of the road after approximately 8 km. Although it can be reached by walking a little after the main road, it makes you forget this effort with its scenery and beauty. We recommend you to see it in April, May and June when the water is the most enthusiastic and the most magnificent.

5) Martyrs' Monument: It is a monument built in memory of the martyrs of Aladag, on the hill that overlooks the district at the entrance of Aladag. While visually impressive. The swing right next to it appeals not only to children but also to all age groups.
